  I must open by asking whether there are two 'The Bridge's in Horncastle since the other person who has reviewed The Bridge gave it 4 stars.
  Without doubt it is my worst eating out experience this year!
  For a start, the staff were miserable.
  Secondly, we ordered two Stilton Ploughman's lunches. Now, from my experience, there are normally three (main) components to a Ploughman's lunch: Cheese, pickles and bread. Our came without any bread! When we asked, were we told that the bread was off + also, this particular Stilton Ploughman's Lunch didn't have any Stilton either!
  When we went to pay, we said that we weren't happy and they were still going to charge us the full price (even though we had not got a third of what makes up a Ploughman's Lunch (no bread) or the advertised cheese either).
  I won't ever be going there again!
  The place looks nice from the outside, but considering that there are quite a few other eateries within a few minutes walk, my advice would be to east elsewhere...

  Nipped in today, superb food and a roaring wood burner
  
  Although not fast food prices, this is a fabulous little place by the river in the town centre. Baguettes were great, as were the paninis (three of us). All seated by a wonderful little wood burner. A real gem. If only there were more small businesses around of this type. Well done to the staff and the owners for creating a unique experience in Horncastle. We'll be back :)
